Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar was born in 1973 in Mumbai The name 'Sachin' was given by his grandfather because his favourite singer's name is 'Sachin' In his early days ,Sachin played for his school and scored a lot of runs .His close friend is Vinod Kambli . He entered the International Arena about 10 years back and dominates the scene now . he has got all the shots in the book . He is compared to three all time great Sir Donald Bradman . Daryll Cullinan ,the South African Player remarked sometime back ,"The ball went went like a rocket near me ",such is the power of the 'Little master '.In another incident Shane Warne was heard saying "Sachin is the toughest batsman to get out when he is in form " .

Tendulkar's century in Sharjah in December 1998 made India reach the finals During that period , a typhoon had blown over the city of Sharjah. India's opponents ,the Australians were rattled by the little master's typhoonic shots and they rather preferred the natural typhoon to Sachin according to shane Warne . Tendulkar's innings in the Test Match at Chennai against Pakistan in February 1999 was an innings of concentration and determination That innings of 139 came to an end when he gave a running catch to Wasim Akram. Tendulkar 's exit changed the destiny of the match ,which India lost . There is one thing that Tendulkar has to achieve in the Test Arena - he has to make a 'Double Century '

Sachin has been experiencing some spasmodic pain in his back these days . On Doctor's Advice , he has to sleep on a mat spread on a flat wooden cot . We hope for the best and pray God that Sachin Tendulkar would be the jewel of the World Cup team ,that he is in peak form and sees that India win the coveted World Cup.
