The Moolavar is Koodal Azhagar seen in seated posture facing east.  On the Ashtaanga vimaanam are the idols of Palli konda Perumal (reclining posture) on one level & Soorya Naaraayanan in standing posture on another level.  This is one of the few Vaishnava temples with a sannadhi for the Navagrahams.
