THE STORY OF CHEEKU & DHEEKU - by Aiysh
Cheeku
& Dheeku were brother chicken. Their mother had gone out in search
of food. They decided to explore the outside world. They went cluck, cluck
looking busily at the ground imitating their mother. They suddenly noticed
a long worm lying curled up near a fence. They were initially very frightened.
They looked at each other for support. Cheeku slowly tip-toed to the worm.
He took the worm in his beak and started shaking his head from left to
right, just the way he had seen his mother do many a time. Dheeku was watching
Cheeku with fright & fascination. He suddenly heard a squeak. The worm
was pulling Cheeku forward. Cheeku surprised by the strength of the worm
let go. Then they saw that what Cheeku had caught was a rat. They ran away
as fast as they could.
