Maratha Military Landscapes of India inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List as India’s 44th Entry
At the 47th Session of the World Heritage Committee, India’s official
nomination for 2024-25 cycle, 'Maratha Military Landscapes of India' got
inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, becoming India’s 44th
property to receive this recognition. The announcement was made during
the 47th session of the World Heritage Committee in Paris.

The project is a dream village of Mahatma Gandhi, visually and
symbolically created through the vision and efforts of present 27th
Mathadhipati H.H. Adrushya Kadsiddheshwar Swamiji. The first phase of
the museum spans over 7 Acres of area with almost 80 main scenes and
around 300 statues. Several subtle village lifestyles are taken into
consideration. There is a unique combination of expression, accuracy and
liveliness in the whole village.
Established in 1997, Nirvana Adventures, an adventure sport company is
famous for its pioneering paragliding activity in the western region as
well as across the country and has been running India's first full time
paragliding school at Kamshet since its inception.
